Identity Cards of “Niramaya” – The Health Insurance Program launched By the Government of India, Through “National Trust” (Under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment) were distributed to the beneficiaries at “Dakshinya” On 09.05.2009.

“Dakshinya as the NGO member of Local Level Committee, Under Collector & District Magistrate Guntur has processed the application from the prospective beneficiaries and obtained insurance policies for 245 Mentally Retarded Persons. 196 ID Cards were distributed previously through collector & District Magistrate, Guntur on 21-02-2009.

Dr.T.V Rao Founder & Chairman Dakshinya informed the gathering that “Niramaya” is an insurance Scheme Exclusively for the Mentally Challenged under which, the Premium for the people bellow poverty line will be paid by the Government. Facilities like medicines; Therapy, surgery etc will be met under this insurance without transaction of cash. Dr.T.V Rao has advised the parents to make use of the facilities provided by the Nation Trust.

Sri.P.M Raja Director, Sri K. Naga Babu Principal and others participated in the program. 49 Insurance Policy Id cards were distributed to the Beneficiaries on this occasion.
