Best Individual Parent of the Person with Disability: For the year 2007, theNational Trust under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, New Delhi has awarded the Best Individual Parent Award to Dr. T. V. Rao through the hands of Smt. Meira Kumar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment on 26th September 2007.

FAPCCI: Omprakash Tibrewala Foundation Award : On 12th of June 2004, Federation of A.P. Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FAPCCI) has awarded Dr. T. Venkateswara Rao, Founder, in recognition of the institute for the service of Mentally Handicapped Children at its Federation House, Hyderabad, A. P. India.

Best social service award: On 15th Anniversary celebration of Tholi Sandya Magazine Dr.T.Venkateswara Rao, Founder of Dakshinya was presented with the Best Social Service Award at Ravindrabharathi Kala Mandapam, Hyderabad, for his outstanding performance in Social Service for the cause of Mentally Handicapped individuals on 16th June 2001.
